Heritage Surf Club partners with SOLID Surf & Adventure located in El Transito, Nicaragua and whose owners are Ocean City, NJ residents. They opened their surf retreat business back in 2012, spending more than six years living and breathing the business while on site in Nicaragua. With kids now in our local NJ schools, they support the business in the background with their local team running the day-to-day operations. They welcome visitors all year long to enjoy not only surfing, volunteering, and adventure but also the joys and culture of Nicaragua.
We chose this destination not only because of the company’s ties to our community, but also because it’s a location that can accommodate all levels and types of surfers without needing to take boat trips (though they can arrange them!) that may leave beginner or non-surfers behind. We run a women’s retreat yearly to SOLID in February and encourage anyone in our surf community to get a crew together and customize your own trip!
