Surf Lessons & Surf Camp

Become part of Heritage’s community of surfers young and old, beginner to advanced by learning to surf this summer in New Jersey. We have been giving surf lessons since we opened our doors in the 1960’s, and have built a community that crosses boundaries of age and skill. We have a passion to connect those who love surfing and seek to provide the know-how and support to develop the surf skills of anyone who has the courage to try!

We welcome you to join us for surf lessons or summer surf camp with experienced instructors and on the best learning equipment. We offer lessons in Sea Isle, Ocean City (Rated America’s #4 Top Surf Town) and Margate where you can learn to surf in the friendly, sand bottom and fun-sized surf of the Atlantic Ocean this summer (a perfect environment to learn to surf).

Choose a location for either group or private lessons or summer surf camp.

Group surf lessons are for those who want to learn how to stand up on a surfboard and catch their first wave. The first part of the lesson teaches you how to get to your feet on land with the remaining hour our the class spent in the ocean. Many students are up and riding within the first 30 minutes of being in the water.

If you have outgrown our group surf lessons and/or are looking for one-on-one time with a surf coach, we encourage you to sign-up for a one-hour private surf class. Our private surf lessons are for any ability level and are great for any age. We can either provide a surfboard and wetsuit for the class, or you can use your own.

Join us this summer for one of our surf camps to really hone in on and work on your surf skills as well as have some good old fashioned kid fun. Campers ages 7- 16 of all surf levels/abilities are welcome to sign-up. Camp time/length varies depending on location but each camper will be provided with a surfboard and wetsuit as needed. Session Dates: Last week June – August (will not run July 4th week)
Days: 5 day surf camp (Monday – Friday)
Time: 9 am – 12 pm
Location: Meet at Waverly Beach

Included: Surfboard & Wetsuit
Optional: Add a Heritage Goody Bag (+$30), includes towel, t-shift, and Hydroflask.

Price: $295 per student (15 hours total)
