Heritage Team Rider Andrew Gesler was invited as Team Captain in the first Cold War, a team concept, match-up based, surf contest held in Asbury Park, NJ. Gesler went had to head with his NJ adversary and Rival Captain, Sam Hammer, after picking teams back in February. Gesler coached a team and made decisions on matching his guys with Hammers, a line up that included Heritage Team Rider Zack Humphreys, to ultimately win 6-2 and take the win.

The event was well promoted all winter and the beach was loaded with spectators, look for Cold War to become a staple in years to come.
